Jack Erskine is a senior at the University of Oregon who hopes to turn his lifelong love of sports into a career, probably in the field of public relations or executive sports management. Growing up playing sports, Jack learned the value of teamwork and communication. He learned any winning team requires group effort and passion for the project. That’s how championships are won, or top-flight marketing campaigns are built. He hopes to use his major in public relations and minor in sports business to achieve that. More than anything, his passion for sports and for people is what drives him.
Name, image, and likeness is a topic that he is interested in and enjoys developing his understanding of the landscape of NIL with college athletes. This has made his passion for sports even greater.
He recognizes how the team’s image off the field is just as important as what happens on the field. Image isn’t just how you look. It’s how you act and carry yourself in all aspects.
All of this will translate into a successful career in public relations, where human interactions are vital. Whether it’s building a team, a restaurant, or a public relations career, Jack has worked hard to pull together the skills that achieve success.
